I ordered size 38; they're a little big, but not a problem if I wear thick socks. If I wear tights, I add fabric insoles to keep my feet secure. The inside is fantastic with a warm red felt lining. I love them; they look great in brown, which is even prettier.

the calf runs small

Perfect

The boots are of good quality but too tight to close at the calf.

Stiff, moderately ugly, plasticky look, a bit large for a 35cm calf circumference - they don't quite "hugge" the ankle, which was the desired effect for me.
