I'd already bought these shoes in a store; it's not mentioned anywhere, but they light up! My son wouldn't wear anything else, and the batteries lasted really well, so I bought them in two other sizes, much to my little one's delight! They're easy to put on, lightweight, and comfortable (I haven't noticed any problems over the past few months). Obviously, they're sneakers, so they're not waterproof, but the batteries last (tested and approved in puddles!).
